Does anyone else miss the golden era of Canadian animation? 6teen was such a unique show that perfectly captured the awkward, hilarious, and sometimes cringe-worthy reality of working at a mall while navigating teenage life.
The dynamic between the core five—Jude, Nikki, Jonesy, Caitlin, and Wyatt—felt incredibly authentic. Unlike many shows of its time, it didn’t shy away from real issues like job insecurity, relationship drama, or the pressure to fit in, all while keeping the tone light and funny. The mall setting wasn’t just a backdrop; it was practically a character itself, serving as the stage for endless schemes and misadventures.
I still think the character development was top-tier, especially seeing how they grew (or didn’t grow) over the seasons. It’s a shame the show ended when it did, leaving so many storylines open.
What’s your favorite episode or character arc? Do you think a reboot could ever capture that original magic, or is it best left in the past? Let’s discuss!
