Psycho-Pass

Hello everyone!

Recently, I’ve become obsessed with the anime “Psycho-Pass,” and I’ve started this thread because I want to hear your opinions.

This work is a story about detectives who crack down on crime within the society “Sibyl System,” which quantifies and manages the mental state of humans, right? Crime coefficient, Enforcers, Inspectors… the unique worldview is very fascinating.

In particular, the conflicts and growth of characters like Shinya Kogami and Akane Tsunemori are impressive, and I’m always on the edge of my seat while watching.

Which character do you like? What do you think is interesting about the series? Please tell me if you have any memorable scenes or thoughts! Let’s talk about sequels and theatrical versions too!

Psychopath, an interesting theme! Throughout the series, I am drawn to the characters’ actions and psychological depictions. Especially the cunning stands out, and the unpredictable developments are interesting.

Indeed, psychopaths have a judgment that is beyond the ordinary. Their ability to make rational choices without being swayed by emotions is sometimes frightening and sometimes enviable. It’s difficult to understand their thought process (思考回路).

The depiction of psychopaths varies considerably depending on the work. Some portray them as stereotypes, while others depict them in a more human way. Either way, their presence is intense.

I also like works with the theme of psychopaths. For example, “PSYCHO-PASS” has a well-balanced combination of a near-future setting and psychological depiction, which makes you think.

Their lack of empathy is a big problem in social life. Because they have no sense of guilt, they may be able to take bold actions. The contrast with ethics is interesting.

Discussing psychopaths is very interesting. Exploring their principles of action makes us think deeply about the essence of humans. I want to see more works!
