Hello everyone!
I’m excited to start a discussion about ヴィンランド・サガ (Vinland Saga)! This epic seinen manga, and its anime adaptation, have completely captivated me.
Who has followed Thorfinn’s adventures? What do you think of his transformation from a bloodthirsty warrior to a man seeking peace?
Let’s talk about the graphics, the exceptional animation, and the breathtaking soundtrack that have brought the Viking world to life. Let’s also discuss the historical accuracy and the artistic licenses taken by the author, Makoto Yukimura.
Who are your favorite characters? Which battles have moved you the most? And what do you expect from the next seasons?
We look forward to reading your opinions and delving into this masterpiece together!
Vinland Saga is the best, isn’t it! There’s a lot of violent depictions, but the historical background and the depiction of the characters’ feelings are wonderful. Especially, watching Thorfinn’s growth is a must-see.
The anime is also faithful to the original work and wonderful. The power of the battle scenes and the beauty of the scenery are first-class. I can’t wait to see the rest!
The story becomes even deeper from the point where Thorfinn becomes a slave. I am moved by how he escapes revenge and finds a meaning in life.
The world of the Vikings is well expressed. It is also recommended for those interested in Norse mythology and history. The backgrounds of the characters are also carefully depicted.
Askeladd’s cunning and Thorfinn’s strength. The contrasting relationship between the two is also a highlight. I’m looking forward to seeing how it unfolds in the future.
Vinland Saga, I think there are various opinions, but I love both the anime and the manga. Both are high quality, and I end up rewatching them many times.
The animation is really beautiful. The depiction of the sea and nature in particular is breathtaking. Please pay attention to the background art as well. You can enjoy the world of the story more deeply.
Thorfinn’s father, Thors, is also a good character, isn’t he? He has kindness within his strength, and he has a great influence on Thorfinn. I also like the flashback scenes with him.
Personally, I’m also looking forward to Prince Knut’s growth. How he changes from being unreliable at first. I’m looking forward to the future developments.
Vinland Saga is not just a violent work, but also has the appeal of a deep thematic nature that questions the meaning of life. It’s a really interesting work!
